OVNi takes off for Seoul

From May 29th to June 2nd,

OVNi festival is invited to present four videos

at EMAP Seoul’s moving image festival, founded in 2001.

The Séoulites will have the opportunity to discover video works by Clément Cogitore, Yuri Ancanari, Florian Pugnaire and Pierre Gaignard for an outdoor parcours, within the prestigious EWHA Womens University, designed by Dominique Perrault.

From a krump battle staged at the Opéra Bastille in Paris by Clément Cogitore, with baroque music composer Jean Philippe Rameau’s famous Indes Galantes, to a death battle directed by Florian Pugnaire, we will loose ourselves in this choreography where movements are as agile as technical. Then in Pierre Gaignard’s film, we will experience a ceremony based on a half-wild half-warrior’s danse, lost between fireworks and mist. Finally, in Yuri Ancanari’s video, machines have replaced men in a mechanical ballet, in Carrara’s marble quary (Italie).
