In addition to OVNi à l'Hôtel and OVNi en Ville, we are thrilled to present the Contemporary Video Art Salon Camera Camera, alongside our sponsor for this year, Muriel Mayette-Holtz. Video artists and gallery owners have been invited to present their work in the unique rooms of the Windsor hotel in Nice through site specific installations -- curating a novel format for the presentation and viewing of film as art.

The diverse artworks and seperate rooms in the Windsor hotel allow the viewer to alternate between "dark rooms" wherein immersive video installations plunge the viewer into the artists world, and "bright rooms" which are conducive to dialogue pertaining to the surrounding video and plastic art.
Alongside open applications from galleries, the team of curators will explore the medium of video as art by putting the work of emerging artists in dialogue with the older generation. Halfway between an art fair and a temporary art center, artists and their associated galleries are invited to create site specific projects within each of the rooms of the Windsor hotel through a set format of one artist/gallery couple per room.
The (hotel)room is a place of transit, a living space related to intimacy, domesticity, desire, lust, solitude, dream, transmission, desorientation. What is a room after all? How about a hotel room? It is first an indoor space, physical of course but also a mental space. What does it mean when someone greets another one in a room? Is the room the ultimate space where we feel home? What is an artist's room?
