Souvenirs d’Annie – Fluxus Côte d’Azur 1963–68… 2023 is an intimate and historically rich documentary exploring the early days of the Fluxus movement in Nice, as seen through the memories of Annie Vautier. By revisiting this pivotal chapter of the artistic avant-garde, the film illuminates not only Fluxus’s impact on the Nice scene, but also its profound influence on the personal and artistic lives of Annie and Ben Vautier. Guided by the questions of Mona Barbagli Vautier — Ben and Annie’s granddaughter — Annie recalls with warmth and clarity the emergence of Fluxus and the mark it left on their lives and on the local art world.

The editing by Aimée Fleury lends the documentary both narrative cohesion and emotional depth, drawing on the visual footage captured by Benoît Barbagli Vautier. Created as part of the exhibition Fluxus Côte d’Azur 1963–68… 2023 at Galerie Eva Vautier, curated by Eva Vautier, this intergenerational portrait weaves together art, history, and family memory to revisit a defining moment of the avant-garde.

This short version, running 25 minutes and created especially for the OVNI festival, precedes a feature-length version of 1 hour and 5 minutes, to be presented in the near future. Produced by Galerie Eva Vautier, Souvenirs d’Annie – Fluxus Côte d’Azur 1963–68… 2023 is a joint work by Aimée Fleury, Mona Barbagli Vautier, and Benoît Barbagli Vautier.
