Educational and Outreach Program

With the aim of broadening access to art on the French Riviera, OVNi is once again offering, as in previous editions, its spaces for mediation and educational workshops this year. These spaces invite our visitors to explore art through a lens that isn’t always obvious at first glance. In 2026, we are organizing our program around three key moments — Look, Talk, and Create — to build a unique experience around the artworks.

Look

Visitors move through a video art and performance exhibition accompanied by a guide, who helps them read an image, debate, and take a stance on works that question norms, bodies, and identities. This space offers a chance to experiment with and observe the exhibitions from varied points of view, opening up readings that go beyond the immediate.

Talk

Thanks to our guest artist Filipe Vilas-Boas, visitors discover Re:public, a sculpture-agora that turns art into a starting point for debate: a physical experience of the collective, of shared rules, and of balance, where the body becomes a space for discussion before words are even spoken. It’s an opportunity to question our everyday lives through a critical lens on art.

This space is complemented by Sacha Rey’s project at the Nice Municipal Archives Museum, featuring workshops inspired by flamingo communities and their way of living in society — a look at what we can learn from animals about collective life.

Create

An artist works directly in the classroom: students create a short video in groups exploring the body and identity, discovering that framing, editing, and staging are also acts of writing. Our artists Macarena Vilches and Tanin Torabi guide young people in creating memorable spaces, encouraging them to engage with art in a much more lively and participatory way.

Inclusive Approach

This year, alongside Cindy Lebat, we are pursuing a more inclusive approach, with training sessions and disability-awareness initiatives, so that the OVNi experience is accessible to all audiences.
