Bienal 2026

After a decade of international growth across ten editions, OVNi now transcends into a Biennale, powerfully extending the vibrant core principles that have animated it since its inception.

Why a biennale dedicated to the moving image, to artist films, to video art?

Because this is an eminently forward-looking, polygraphic art form that mutates as swiftly as its technology. Because, amidst the daily aridity of using images as mere tools and messages, it serves to underscore that everything unfolds upon, through, and within the art of relation, and that our consciousness thrives on nuance. Because visual creation resonates between the lines, seizing upon limits and borders to better illuminate the complex fields of our existence. As an experience of horizons, these works allow for the elaboration of an infinitely political and poetic vision. Because each edition of OVNi is a prism whose syntax is perpetually renewed. It is both the pivot and the agora where the subtleties of evocation and the powers of provocation find expression. For everything is a matter of perception, translation, and restitution.

OVNi La Biennale is here to forge the unexpected conditions for exhibition, complicity, and sharing, to trace lines of desire—those strides that form paths more direct and simpler than mandated routes. Here, multiple artistic scenes, multiple languages, multiple cultures, and multiple beings intertwine.

OVNi is the orchestration of a cosmopolitan and vital artistic aim.

We invite you to be a part of it.

See you in autumn 2026!
