Already, it was such a relief to understand that I was going to tell you everything I’m about to tell you. What a relief! We really are going to pull off something big. The biggest thing I will ever have pulled off, in fact! – Marion Duval
My glowing phone sings a song and slides down my trousers while I project videos filmed at home. I tinker with bodies and grope my way towards reflections that blur the boundaries between our bodies. As a means of survival, I attempt to traverse relationships that refuse to take root, revealing, for a few seconds, new spaces: places of desire and friction. With our allumées, psychic, artificial or real — those who have had to face the absurdity of light — we can inhabit an almost burlesque vulnerability and ask ourselves together: What are our inhibitions, and what are our possibilities for forming collective and dissonant bodies within institutions? How can we give form, through interruptions, to the joys and sorrows of our thwarted relationships?
They always told me, we are no longer human, and that’s just fine.
