Eva Vautier Gallery

2022

The Eva Vautier gallery defends a sharp guideline, working with artists of different generations and with varied horizons such as Florian Pugnaire to Nicolas Daubanes through group exhibitions Fluxus or Supports / Surfaces. She wants to make art more accessible so that the gallery becomes a space for research, overflow, creation, exchange and listening. The Eva Vautier gallery presents as part of OVNi en ville, a selection of 3 videos.

À chacun sa vérité [To each his own truth]

Numerical video, sound, 5"00, 2008

« To Each His Own Truth » is a video that examines the ambiguity of madness through four people gossiping about a strange neighbour. As they talk, not very intelligently, they start to intertwine to become, in the end, one and the same character.

L'Escalier [The Staircase]

Video, mute, 0"454, 2015

This video depicts the relationship between the artist and the object. The action is doomed to failure because the object is not functional. Thus, the artist despite the repetition does not reach the top.
