The OVNi SUD Émergences Prize reflects the Biennale’s commitment to supporting emerging contemporary artists from the region. Awarded through an open call, the prize is dedicated to emerging artists living in the South of France (Provence-Alpes-Côte d’Azur and Occitanie–Pyrénées–Méditerranée) as well as Monaco. It offers a concrete platform for developing artistic practices rooted in a territory where Mediterranean and European cultures converge.
Supported by the Cercle des Amis d’OVNi, the prize includes a €2,000 grant together with a writing and creative residency at Le Windsor, Jungle Art Hotel, providing the winner with an inspiring environment to develop a new artistic project.
The OVNi SUD Émergences Prize is presented alongside the Cosmopolis Prize during the Biennale’s closing ceremony.
As in previous editions, the OVNi SUD Émergences Prize will be hosted by Hôtel Le Grimaldi by HappyCulture.
