AN ARTIST, THE STUDIO, AND ALL THE REST… PART 2 is a choreographed and staged
moving-image artwork, produced and directed in The Great Hall, IMMA, in 2011-12.
A re-enactment and cinematographic re-interpretation of Gustav Courbet’s painting
The Artist’s Studio (1854/55), with invited representatives, individuals, and institutions
from Irish cultural society.

First exhibited for John Beattie’s solo exhibition at the RHA, Dublin, curated by Patrick Murphy
in 2012.

Funded by the Arts Council of Ireland, supported by the Artist in
Residence Programme at the Irish Museum of Modern Art, and the Royal Hibernian Academy, Dublin.
